Reservations:
When placing a rental order online, during the check out process, there will be a comment box. Please type in the date that you want your rental to start and confirm how many days (3, 7, or 14) you want to rent the gear for.
Reservations will be accepted up to three months in advance.
Rental Rates are subject to change without notice. The rate that is posted at the time of your reservation will apply to your order.
Customers must be 18 years of age or older to rent our gear.
Minimum rental period is three days.
A valid credit card is required for all rentals.
Phone and fax reservations will be accepted. It is possible that we may receive multiple request for the same item(s) in a given day or for a given date(s), resulting in the item(s) being out of stock for a particular date. We will base our decision on who will receive their request on the time the orders were received by us. We will process orders on a first come, first served basis.
If we are sold out of an item(s) for a particular day(s) or date(s), we will contact you as soon as we discover the shortage in stock. If you do not wish to change your date or gear requests we will cancel your order.
Credit card charges will be applied the day an order is sent for delivery shipment.

Additional Charges:
Additional Charges are charges that are not reflected at the time of checkout and will be billed to your account as a separate transaction.
Please Note: You will be billed for the cost of Return Shipping as an Additional Charge. You may estimate your total cost of shipping by doubling the shipping charge reflected at the time of checkout. The actual cost of shipping may be greater than this estimated cost.
The remainder of the Additional Charges are potential charges if our gear is lost, stolen, damaged or returned in a condition that requires additional cleaning, all as determined by the sole discretion of GITTO.
As GITTO does not require a deposit to be charged to your account or a pre-authorized amount to be held against your credit card, to protect us from theft or replacement of lost or damaged gear. In order for you to rent our gear, you must acknowledge and agree to having the following potential charges billed to your credit card for the issues stated below.
By renting our gear you give us permission to charge your credit card additional amounts under the following circumstances.
* Return Shipping:
You agree to allow us to charge your credit card the amount of return shipping to GITTO at the time your order is sent for delivery to you (ie: when your order is actually shipped). Since we can not determine the return shipping cost at the time of your order, the cost of return shipping will be charged to your credit card when your order is sent for delivery to you. GITTO will not charge any handling fees for shipping. What our carrier charges us is what you pay for the shipping.
The charged shipping rate will be billed according to your Delivery Address. If you decide to return ship from another address, you may have to pay additional shipping charges at the time you return your package to UPS for shipment back to us.
The pre-paid shipping label and the return address label will be included in your arrival package.
* Failure to Return Our Gear to Us:
If our gear is not returned to us due to loss or theft, you give us permission to charge the full MSRP value of the rental gear, plus any applicable sales tax, to your account. If the account we have on file has insufficient funds available, you agree to provide another account to cover the cost of replacing the rental gear.
If components are missing from any rental item, you give us permission to charge the full MSRP price for any component replacement parts to your account. To assist you in assuring you have packed all of the rental gear and the respective components you may refer to the Gear List/Component List that arrived with your order.
* Damaged Gear:
If you return damaged gear to us, as determined at our sole discretion, we will perform a repair assessment. If the gear can be repaired, you give us permission to charge your credit card the retail value of the replacement parts and for the shop labor needed to repair the item. If we deem the gear cannot be repaired and re-rented into our rental gear circulation you give us permission to charge your credit card the full MSRP value of the item, plus any applicable sales tax. If you are charged full MSRP value for damaged gear, you may request to have the damaged gear shipped back to you, and have the cost of shipping added to your account for payment.
* Late Returns:
(Late Return = Rental Gear that is not dropped off at a UPS location for return shipment back to us by the Return Shipment Due Date (or) Pick Up / Drop Off Rentals are not returned by the Return Date.)
You agree if you do not return our rental gear for shipment back to us by the Return Shipment Due Date (ie: one day following your rental length), or you do not return Drop Off Rentals by the Return Date, you give us permission to apply charges of one day's rental rate for each item, for each day the gear is late in return, to your credit card. You also agree if the gear is one week late in being returned for Returned Shipment or is one week past the drop off Return Date, in addition to the daily late return fees, you give us permission to charge the full MSRP value of each item, plus any applicable sales tax, to your credit card.
* Cleaning Fee:
You agree if items are returned excessively dirty or wet, as determined at our sole discretion, a cleaning fee of $50.00 will be charged to your account. If the gear has become moldy and is not able to be re-rented, you give us permission to charge your account the full MSRP value of the gear, plus any applicable sales tax. If you are charged full MSRP value for damaged gear, you may request to have to the damaged gear shipped to you, and have the cost of shipping added to your account for payment.

Cancellations:
You may cancel an order anytime before it is shipped with no charge to your account. Once the items are boxed and sent for delivery shipping, you will be charged the full length of the rental. You must contact our office directly to cancel an order by calling 1-877-464-4886 (1-877-Go-GITTO) or 904-252-5170. Orders are sent for delivery shipping approximately 5-7 days prior to requested rental start dates.

Shipment:
Receipt of Gear:
We will ship your order via UPS for approximate arrival one day prior to your trip. Your rental gear may arrive earlier than one day prior to your trip and you will not be charged any additional rental for early delivery. If an order needs to be expedited to arrive to you in time, you will be contacted with any additional shipping costs, for your approval, prior to your order being shipped. You will not be charged rental rates for the days the gear is being shipped to you or returned to GITTO. You hereby acknowledge that GITTO does not provide any implied or expressed warranty regarding the timely aarrival of your gear. GITTO will, in good faith, do the best of its abilities, submit your rental gear to UPS for timely delivery. However, due to certain factors not within our control (e.g. natural disasters, delay by UPS, etc.), GITTO can not guarantee timely arrival of your gear.
The cost of delivery shipping will be charged at the time of ordering and the cost of return shipping will be charged at the time of shipping your order. There will be no additional charges for handling of the order. What it cost us to ship is what it will cost you. You will be charged for return shipping to GITTO at the time your order is sent for delivery shipping to you. The pre-paid return postage and address label will be included in your package.
We will ship products anywhere in the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands.
If you are traveling and do not wish to transport our gear, we are able to ship directly to your final destination city or hotel, once a secure address is provided. It is possible for you to pick up and drop off the rental gear at any UPS deliverable location, including most hotels in your arrival or departure city. These locations will need to be determined in advance. if our return shipment location changes, you will be responsible for paying any additional cost of shipping to UPS when you return th order for shipment back to GITTO. GITTO hereby reserves the right to refuse shipment to any destination it, at its sole discretion, determines to be unreasonable.
Returning Gear to GITTO:
To return rental gear to us, securely repack the gear (to protect it from damage) back into the shipping box in which it arrived, affix the pre-paid postage and address return label to the box, and return it to the UPS location of your choice for shipment back to us. Many hotels will also offer UPS pickup through their concierge service. If you decided to utilize a hotel concierge service, please assure you receive proof of submitting the gear to the hotel personnel for shipping.
Gear is to be cleaned of debris and mud, air dried, boxed, then returned to a UPS location one day following your trip (the Return Shipment Due Date), or additional rental cost will be incurred. You may use the same shipping box in which the gear arrived, or you may purchase a new box at UPS, at your own cost. The Return Shipment Due Date will be highlighted on the invoice included with your rental gear.
For your protection, please assure the UPS representative provides you with a receipt after accepting the package from you. Retain this receipt for your records as it will be your proof that you returned the gear for shipping, by the Return Shipment Due Date, and will protect you against any additional rental charges if there is a delay in our receipt of the items. If there is a delay in our receipt of returned items, the recorded drop off date at UPS is later than your Return Shipment Due Date, and you cannot provide this form for verification of shipment, you will be charged an additional days rental for each day the gear is late in return, excluding the actual shipping days.
** Please Note ** You are responsible for assuring UPS scanned the return package into their system and provided you with a receipt. Once scanned into the UPS system, you will not be charged for any delay in return of gear to GITTO. If you utilize a hotel concierge service to return ship the gear back to GITTO, please assure the hotel personnel provide you with an official proof of receipt of the dropped off gear (ie: the UPS shipment form.) IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE RENTED GEAR IS PROPERLY RETURNED TO GITTO. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU RETAIN NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION THAT PROVES YOU HAVE PROVIDED UPS WITH THE PROPER RETURN PACKAGE.

Inspection of Gear:
Once you receive your rental gear - inspect it immediately. If you find any damaged items, please contact us immediately so a replacement item may be shipped to you, overnight, at no additional cost. However, due to certain factors that are not within our control, GITTO can not guarantee that the replacement item will be available to you in tome for your scheduled trip.
By renting gear from us, you agree that if you receive any damaged gear in your Delivery Package that you will immediately Return Ship the damaged item(s) back to GITTO, at no additional cost to you. We will pay the return shipping cost for the damaged item.
If you do not report any damage prior to your trip you will be charged for repair or replacement of the gear.
If you report damaged gear, receive a replacement item and do not return the damaged gear to us prior to going on your trip, you will be charged rental for both the damaged item and the replacement item.

Cleaning, Damage and Replacement:
GITTO cleans all gear in between rentals. By renting gear, you agree to return the gear free of dirt and debris and assure the gear is dry. Gear that is shipped wet may mold and be classified as damaged or un-rentable and you may be charged full MSRP value to replace the item(s). Gear that is returned dirty will be charged a cleaning fee of $50.00.
Normal wear and tear on our gear is expected, however, damages such as, but not limited to hot coal burns, tears in fabrics or screenings, and stained materials and other damage of similar nature are outside of normal wear and tear and will be charged as damaged and if deemed un-rentable, at GITTO's sole discretion, will be charged to you at full MSRP value, plus any applicable sales tax.
Cleaning:
If items are returned excessively dirty or wet, a cleaning fee of $50.00 will be charged and if the gear has become moldy and is deemed un-rentable, the full MSRP value of the gear, plus any applicable sales tax, will be charged to you. If you are charged for un-rentable damaged gear, you may request to have the gear shipped to you, and have the cost of shipping added to your account for payment. You hereby give GITTO permission to charge your credit card for damaged or dirty gear and related costs and fees, all as determined by GITTO in its sole discretion, with or without prior notice to you.
Cleaning Instructions
Backpacks:
To Clean a Backpack – brush off excessive dirt with a clean, dry towel or clean whisk broom.
To Dry a Backpack – If the pack is wet, place it, with all compartments opened, in a dry, well ventilated area.
Do not wash or dry backpacks in laundry machines.
Cookware / Kitchenware:
To Clean Pots/Pans – hand wash with dish soap, using a non-abrasive sponge and towel dry.
To Clean Stoves – brush off excessive dirt/debris with a clean dry towel or clean whisk broom.
To Clean Lexan Dishes, Glasses, Utensils: Do NOT use abrasive/rough sponges or abrasive dish soap on these items as they will become scratched and damaged. Hand wash with a soft sponge using mild dish soap in warm water and then towel dry.
Do not wash cookware or kitchenware in dishwashers.
Sleeping Bags:
To Clean the Sleeping Bags – to clean the bag, brush it off with a clean dry towel. If you feel the bag needs to be laundered to avoid additional cleaning fees; it (they) must be washed only in an appropriate sized commercial front loading heavy duty washing machine. Agitation machines will damage the bags. Wash in warm water using mild detergent.
To Dry a Sleeping Bag - If the bag has become damp, hang it, unzipped and opened, in a well ventilated area to dry. If you launder the bag, it may be dried in a commercial front loading dryer on the AIR DRY cycle.
Tents:
To Clean the Outside of the Tent - while the tent is set up, use a damp sponge or clean towel and wipe off debris.
To Clean the Inside of the Tent - remove the pole supports and turn the tent inside out. Shake or brush off the debris. Finish by wiping with a damp sponge. Then follow the directions on how to dry a tent below.
To Dry Tents - set them up in a dry, well ventilated, area overnight. Do NOT place tents inside laundry machines. If the tent is saturated, and did not dry by the next day (your Return Shipment Due Date), call GITTO at 1-877-464-4886 to report the issue and options will be discussed. Do not send the gear back to us wet as it may mold and you may then have to pay an additional cleaning fee or replacement charge.
Do not wash or dry tents in laundry machines.
Water Containers/Bladders:
To Clean Water Containers/Bladders – Wash the outside with a small amount of mild dish soap and warm water, then wash the inside by placing a very small (half pea size) amount of dish soap and hot water into the bag. Place the cap back onto the bag and then shake the bag vigorously. Remove the caps, rinse them thoroughly, towel dry the outside of the bag then hang them upside down to dry.
The inside of these items will most likely not dry fully overnight. Leave the lid(s) off of the container/bladder and ship the item(s) back to us. We will sterilize these items before the next use.
Tools/Lanterns/Head Lights:
To Clean Tools/Lights – Wipe with a damp sponge or cloth and towel dry.
Damage and Replacement:
As agreed to in Additional Charges above: Damaged Gear is subject to repair fees, which will include the MSRP cost of parts and shop labor rates. Lost, stolen or un-rentable damaged gear will be charged to your credit card account at full MSRP value, plus any applicable sales tax.

Liability
GITTO is not responsible for any personal injury incurred while using our rental gear, even when gear is used in accordance for which it is intended.
Stoves, coffee related items, tents and sleeping bags require special considerations and cautions associated with their use. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the user manuals for each item, to check the items prior to each use, and to use them properly.
GITTO is not responsible for any damage to vehicles while transporting our gear.
You hereby agree that any disputes arising out of, or relating to, your rental of our gear, which can not be agreed to by both parties, shall be brought in the Duval Country Court System in Jacksonville, Florida. This agreement and any contract the courts may deem to have existed between the parties shall be subject to and interpreted in accordance with he laws of the State of Florida.
You agree not to rely on any information or packages on this website as containing all necessary information or items needed to participate in a particular activity, and will conduct your own research and analysis as well.
No information provided on this web site is a substitute for professional instruction or personal experience. GITTO assumes no liability for the use of or reliance on this information – it is your responsibility to have the proper knowledge, experience and equipment to enjoy outdoor recreation safely. You hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless GITTO and its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, demands, claims, suits, actions, judgments, causes of action, assessments, costs and expenses, including, without limitation, interests, penalties, attorneys' fees, any and all expenses incurred in investigating, preparing and defending against any litigation, commenced or threatened, or any claim whatsoever, and any and all amounts pain in settlement of any claim or litigation, asserted against, resulting to, imposed upon, or incurred or suffered by any of them, directly or indirectly as a result or arising out of your use of this website or our gear.
