When cooking with one of our stoves, the stove should be placed on the ground, in a flat area, NEVER on a picnic table or any other elevated surface.

*** Due to current restrictions on shipping and transporting fuel we are no longer able to ship fuel cannisters to you. You will not be permitted to transport full fuel cannisters on commercial aircraft in either your carry on or checked luggage. Fuel cannisters are available for purchase in many outdoor supply stores. If you rent this stove, we recommend that you purchase fuel in your local area or final destination city. Be sure to verify fuel cannisters are available for purchase in your area, or your destination city, prior to renting this stove.

So you may accurately calculate your fuel consumption needs and purchase the fuel that you will need we provide you with MSR's Fuel Usage Estimation Recommendations:

• MSR recommends 4 oz. (114ml) of liquid fuel per person per day for cooking or 8 oz. (237ml) of liquid fuel per person per day for melting snow and cooking. An extremely cold trip, like skiing in Antarctica, may require as much as 15oz. (444 ml) of liquid fuel per day.

• In general one 8 oz. canister of MSR IsoPro fuel will be sufficient to boil water for two people over four days in summer. Wind, low temperatures and longer cooking times will increase fuel consumption.
