Home > How to measure my torso.
| | |
|
Your height does not automatically determine your torso length, so it needs to be measured to assure a properly fit backpack as it is this length that will determine your pack size.
If your measurements are outside of our rental backpack range of 9"- 22", we apologize, but our packs will most likely not fit you comfortably.
To measure your torso length, you will need an assistant and a flexible tape measure.
- If you don't have the tape measure or an assistant - a visit to your local fabric shop and a kind request to one of their associates will usually provide you with your measurement.
- Stand tall with your hands on your hips and position your hands so your thumbs are behind you, perpendicular to the ground.
- Have a friend stand behind you. Bend your head forward.
- Locate the bony bump just below your neck.
- Using a flexible tape measure, have your assistant start measuring from this bump, downward along your spine to the point where the tape crosses an imaginary line drawn between your thumbs.
