You will not be permitted to transport full fuel cannisters on commercial aircraft in either your carry on or checked luggage. Fuel cannisters are available for purchase in many outdoor supply stores. If you rent this stove, we recommend that you purchase fuel in your local area or final destination city. Be sure to verify fuel cannisters are available for purchase in your area, or your destination city, prior to renting this stove. So you may accurately calculate your fuel consumption needs and purchase the fuel that you will need we provide you with MSR's Fuel Usage Estimation Recommendations: MSR recommends 4 oz. (114ml) of liquid fuel per person per day for cooking. An extremely cold trip, may require as much as 15oz. (444 ml) of liquid fuel per day. Wind, low temperatures and longer cooking times will increase fuel consumption.
