Rent this 1 cup Java Press and enjoy some Joe at your campsite. Made from virtually unbreakable Lexan resin, this graduated carafe has a thermally-insulated, closeable, dispenser cap and a stable, anti-slip base that removes for easy cleaning or weight-savings. This coffee press is great for when you do not want to burn fuel to percolate coffee.

The unit comes with an insulating sleeve to keep your coffee warm.

Considerations for Use:
  • use only coarse ground coffee.
  • always place the unit on a dry, stable surface.
  • allow unit to cool before cleaning or disassembling.
  • hand wash with mild detergent.
  • use only non-abrasive cloths to wash/wipe or damage will occur.
  • this item is not  Microwave or Dishwasher safe.
  • do not place directly on a stove top or damage will occur
How to use this Java Press:
  • fill the Lexan coffee press with water, then transfer the water to a cookset pot
  • place the pot on a stove and heat the water until it begins to boil, then remove it from the heat
  • place about a tablespoon of coarse ground coffee into the Lexan coffee press (add more for stronger coffee)
  • carefully pour the hot water into the Lexan cylinder, being careful not to fill past the MAX line
  • gently stir the liquid and coffee ground solution with a Lexan or plastic spoon
  • allow coffee to sit @3-5 minutes to brew.
  • press the plunger down, following the safety considerations below.
Safety: There are some special considerations for use of this product to prevent injury.
  • do not fill above MAX
  • before plunging turn lid to close.
  • hold press at base and gently depress plunger. If plunger resists, pull up and begin again.
  • DO NOT PLUNGE WITH FORCE - use of excessive force will cause scalding liquid to shoot out of the pot and may cause serious burns.
  • brewed coffee grounds may be very hot. Handle with care.
  • keep out of reach of children and pets.
