This Lexan glass is great for campsite Mojitos
Martini Shaker
mortar and pestal (or two flat river rocks)
1 lime
8-10 leaves of fresh mint
Sprite or Diet Sprite (or similar)
White Rum (Bacardi or similar)
Ice
(if you use river rocks, place all of the ingredients directly into the martini shaker)
Place the mint leaves into the mortar. Half the lime. Squeeze one half of the lime into the mortar. Grind lime juice and mint with pestal.
Fill Martini Shaker with Ice. Pour 1 jigger of White Rum over ice. Pour small amount of Sprite (Diet Sprite) into the mortar and swirl. Pour lime juice, mint leaf and sprite mixture into shaker. Shake vigorously until shaker is very cold to touch. Open shaker,and fill remainder with Sprite, place lid back onto shaker and invert shaker gently once or twice to mix the drink. Remove the lid and pour the drink and ice into the Lexan Mixed Drink glass. Serve and enjoy.
* It is very important not to add the soda before you shake the martini shaker - it will fizz up and pop off the lid. Only add Sprite after you shake.
